STOUGHTON- James ""Jim"" Amundson, age 53, of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at the Stoughton Hospital. Jim was born in Stoughton on December 19, 1955, to Roger and the late Barbara (nee Pfundheller) Amundson. Jim graduated from Stoughton High School and was a past member of the Norwegian Dancers of Stoughton. Jim was a Brewers' fan and loved all types of sports being active in sporting equipment sales. His love of skiing, at an early age, blossomed into a business career, managing Ski Line Ski Shop in Stoughton before moving to manage at Erehwon Outfitters in Madison. Jim was a harmonica player of considerable note and was well known, playing with many of the area bands. Jim had a great interest in cooking and also worked as a chef. More recently, Jim became an accomplished welder, creating unique metal sculptures. Jim was a kind, loving person who loved animals, especially his Springer Spaniel, "" Harvey"". Survivors include his; father, Roger Amundson of Stoughton, one brother, Bill (Anita) Amundson of Denver, CO.; loving girlfriend, Lori Ellis and many relatives on the Pfundheller side. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara in 2000. A visitation will begin at 3 P.M. on Monday, August 10, 2009, at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with funeral services to follow at 6 P.M. with the Rev. Marcia Carrier officiating.
