James "Anzy" A. Anhalt

SUN PRAIRIE-- James A. “Anzy” Anhalt, 78, of Sun Prairie, passed away on May 29, 2023.  He was born on July 31, 1944 to Jerome and Johanna Anhalt in Sheboygan, WI. He graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1962 and the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1966.

Anzy was employed by the University of Wisconsin Centers and retired as the Controller. 

Anzy is survived by his wife Marilyn; his children and grandchildren Patrick (Richelle) with their children Hanna and James “JP” Anhalt; Peter (Tina) with their children Sydney and Zachary Anhalt; and Erica (Tom) with their children Hadley and Fletcher Holquist.  He is further survived by his brothers and sisters in law Richard Zonick, Jerry and Barb Loritz, Jim and Joan Knatz, Larry and Diane Jensema; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Johanna Anhalt, and his sister, Joyce Zonick. 

Visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert the Great Drive with a Funeral Mass to immediately follow at 1:00 PM.  Msgr. Larry Bakke will preside.   Friends and family will gather immediately following the Mass for an outdoor reception with casual dress.
