James Bohling

June 21, 1936 — October 12, 2014

Arlington - James R. "Jim" Bohling age 78 a loving, caring, kind man passed away from a long battle with cancer on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his home in Arlington. He was born on June 21, 1936 in Madison, the son of John 'Bill" and Mary (Semor) Bohling. Jim graduated from Sun Prairie High. He served in the United States Army from January 1956 to December 1961. Jim worked for the family business Bohling and Sons Heating and Plumbing until his Dad retired then owned and ran the business with his brother Tom until his retirement in 2011 at the age of 75. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and hobbies included carving on gun stocks.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (Bancroft) Bohling; his children, Sandy (Garth) Fredenberg, David Bohling, Linda (Jay) Churchill, and Jessica (Randy) Ruplinger; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Judy) Bohling, Ed (Sheila) Bohling and Joe Bohling; sisters, Jean (George) Smith and Sue Stawicki; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Tom and Steve Bohling.

A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at a later date at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Home Health United Hospice Services, Baraboo office for all their help and care.
