James Dobrient

Madison - James Dobrient, age 65, of Madison, passed away on Friday January 1, 2010 at Meriter Hospital. James was born on September 22, 1944 to Walter and Kathleen (Webber) Dobrient in Shorewood, WI. He attended Shorewood High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. James served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Cathedral Parish. James resided at Capital Lakes where he was active in community life and had many friends. James retired from the University Hospital where he was a supervisor in the Environmental Services Department. He was an active volunteer, recently for the Red Cross and the Department of Motor Vehicles. He loved the outdoors, participating in community events and spending time with his daughter Alex. James is survived by his daughter Alexandra Dobrient of Milwaukee and his sister Kathy (Bob) Buettner of Arizona and their children. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tom Dobrient. Memorial services will be held at Capital Lakes Grand Hall, 333 W. Main St in Madison on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 1pm with Rev. Laverne Meier officiating.
