Sun Prairie - James "Jim" Arthur Graff, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, at the Willows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sun Prairie. He was born on September 7, 1932, in Junction City, Wisconsin the son of Jerome and Ruby (Hessing) Graff. Jim was united in marriage to Beatrice Peck on February 27, 1960, in Columbus, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Bea; his children, Connye (Doug DeGroff) Glassen, Sandra Gjavenis, James Graff, Jr., and Janet Schwanke; 7 grandchildren, BJ (Andrea) McElmurry, Zack (Lisa) McElmurry, Alyssa (Brett Lange) McElmurry, Ben McElmurry, Brittany (Robb) Zimmerman, Amanda (Jeremy Protsman) Glassen, and Nick (Kara) Glassen; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ellen (Hugo) Tiedt, Doris (Tom) Burdick; brother, Ronald (Joyce) Graff; sister-in-law, Evelyn Graff; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Rick Gjavenis; brothers, Joe, Jerome (Marge) and William Graff; and a sister, Dorothy Anhalt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2420 St. Albert Drive, Sun Prairie on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Terrence Connors presiding. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m.
