Williams, James H.
Stoughton: James H. Williams took his final flight on Sunday, February 19, 2017. Those who remember Jim remember a man who was fiercely loyal and loved his family and friends completely. Jim was ambitious, quick witted, and had a smile that was as warm as it was contagious. After his family, his biggest love in life was to fly. He owned several airplanes and was an avid pilot.
Jim was born on March 1, 1947 to Lee and Harvey Williams in Sparta, Wisconsin. He was raised with his two older siblings, Carole and Sam, and his younger brothers, Allan and Tom, in a small house in Crown Point, IN. His ambition led him to Indiana University and later to Illinois State University where he received an MS in Counseling. Jim retired in 2009 from his position as an IT manager for the State of Wisconsin. He is survived by his daughter Jessica, his wife Diane and her son Aaron, and three granddaughters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, Jim's birthday, at the CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, with a Celebration of Life at 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Jim's name to Agrace HospiceCare or the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Jim's family would like to extend its deepest gratitude for the nurses and staff at Agrace Hospice in Janesville, WI for their boundless compassion and expert care. Condolences can be directed to the family at jhwflyermemorial@yahoo.com. Please share your memories of Jim.
