James Lemasters

MADISON/WEST VIRGINIA
James Irvin Lemasters, age 65 unexpectedly passed away on Friday, January 13, 2012. He was born on December 24, 1946 in New Martinsville, West Virginia to Ordie and Lenora (Haught) Lemasters. Jim entered the Army on September 20, 1966 and served his country until December of 1972.
After leaving the Army he was united in marriage to Linda P. Johnson in September of 1974 in Beloit. After many years of traveling across the country, Jim settled back in Wisconsin which he considered home. After the passing of his wife, Jim's life turned on another journey with LaDon, and shared many adventures with one another.
Jim was employed at Mandt Sand and Gravel in Oregon, WI for many years. In his younger years, he liked to hunt. As he got older he enjoyed riding his Harley and spending time with family.
Among the many who will remember and miss Jim, are his companion of 12 years, LaDon Forstrom; daughter, Tina (Todd) Wick of Albany; two sons, Russ (Nina) Johnson of Franklin and Paul (Tammy) Brewer of Madison; three grandchildren, Autumn, Nicole and Robert. Jim also was the proud great-grandfather to Javier; a brother, Jerry (Sue) Lemasters of Butler, PA; sister, Jill (Sonny) Karl also of Butler, PA and many nieces and nephews. Jim will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and many other loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at 12 NOON on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial with full military honors will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison.
