MIDDLETON- Leonard 'James' Mitchard, age 30, passed away at home on Saturday October 28, 2017. James was born in Keighley, England, the first child of Brian and Janis Mitchard
James attended school in Eastburn, West Yorkshire, England to the age of 9. The family moved to Wisconsin, in the United States in 1996, where James attended Middleton Elementary, Middle and High Schools. He subsequently went to study at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
James had a passion and intensity for books and music of all types throughout his life. He was self taught on the piano, and also on the drums.
He was a fervent lifelong supporter of Leeds United FC in England. MOT
James had a brilliant mind, scored in the 99th percentile of all US students. In addition to his intelligence, he owned the sharpest wit and softest heart.
He was well versed in all matters and could hold endless discourse.
The words of another James, King James 1, would fit well to our James
"That which we call wit consists much in quickness and tricks, and is full of lightness that it seldom goes without judgement and solidity; but when they do meet, it is commonly in an honest man"
James fell victim to a lethal dose of Fentanyl. He is now just another statistic in this deadly contagion. He leaves no lasting legacy from his short life; but he leaves us with some fantastic memories, especially of 2017, his last Summer, where he fought so hard to break out of his addictions, and we came to know and love ever more the grown up man, James.
James is survived by his parents Brian and Janis Mitchard, siblings Alexander and Emily Mitchard. He is further survived by other family in England. He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
A private service was held on Saturday November 4th 2017.
Our world is a lot emptier without you James.
Luv ya, miss ya son.
