James E. Tennant

Deerfield-James E. Tennant, age 83, passed away on December 25, 2008 at Haack's Tendercare, Sun Prairie.  He was born on June 19, 1925 in Bear Valley, WI the son of Dorr & Ella (Reinfeldt) Tennant.  Jim had lived in Plain, Marshall, Cambridge, Utica, Tampa, FL and most recently Sun Prairie throughout his lifetime.  He was self-employed as a farmer and truck driver.  James was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army.  He was a former member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church both of Sun Prairie. He is survived by his daughters, Jacqueline Tennant, Patricia (Bob) Albrecht and Ellen (Rick) Erickson all of Sun Prairie; his son Gerald (Linda) Tennant, Deerfield; grandchildren, Doug (Aime) Zimmerman, Tammy (John) Freson, Kristi (Shawn) Carnahan, Theresa Tennant, Christopher, Ashley & Dylan Erickson;  great-grandchildren, Keagan, Brayden, Gavin, Hanna, John, Taegan & Morgan; his sister, Doris Mundt, Sun Prairie; Sister-in-law, Madeline Tennant-Zins, Spring Green; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Herbert, Ralph and Larry.  A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie with Vicar Michael Tess presiding.
