James W. Walker, Jr.

Madison , WI -- James William Walker, Jr. ""Chick"", age 56, departed this life on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. He was born on October 31, 1954 in Joiner, AR, the son of Jessie Lee Thomas and James William Walker, Sr. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age while attending Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church of Pecan Point, AR. A construction worker for many years, James was employed by J.H. Findorff & Son Inc. of Madison, WI; and was a member of the Construction & General Laborers Union Local #464, of Madison, WI.   To cherish many loving memories, James leaves a stepson, Mandell Lacey of Madison, WI, his lifelong friend and companion, Hazel Marie Brown of Madison, WI, and her family. Also left behind are his sisters; Loretta M. Smith of Madison, WI, Evetta L. (Raz B, Jr.) Turner of Joiner, AR, Jeanette Jones of Marked Tree, AR, and his brothers; Tannie L. (Eddie Mae) Weinda of Wilson, AR, Lawrence D. Walker and Alfred L. Jones of Madison, WI, Willie C. (Judy Gerron) Walker of Milwaukee, WI, and Willie Albert (Carla) Jones of St. Paul, MN. Left to enjoy many cherished memories is a host of nieces and nephews, loving relatives, extended family and friends, and special friends James Turner and Airport. His parents, Jessie Lee Thomas and James William Walker, Sr., and his sister, Rachel Lee Walker, preceded James in death.
