Jan M. Bliese

McFarland- Jan M. Bliese, age 65, met with Jesus on Saturday, June 4, 2011. She was born in Madison on September 27, 1945, the daughter of Bernard and Helen (VanHeesch) Webb. Jan graduated from Ladysmith High School in 1963 and attended Madison Business College . On November 17, 1971 she married Dale Bliese. Jan worked as an Account Specialist for the UW for 43 years before she retired. She was past President of the McFarland American Legion Auxiliary Post #534. Jan was very active in McFarland Hockey Bingo and endless smelt fries. She loved going to watch UW Football and Hockey games and attending UW Band Concerts. Many people affectionately called Jan ""mom."" She is survived by her husband, Dale; son, John (Liz Gullickson) Bliese; four grandsons, Christopher (Stephanie), Devon , Jonathan and Thomas; sister, Sharon (George) Endean; and beloved wiener dog Schnitze. Jan was preceded in death by her parents. A Pass and Review with funeral services following will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland with Fr. Stephen Smith officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon at the McFarland American Legion Post #534. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of services on Wednesday.
