Jane Myhre

Jane M. Myhre, age 94, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam. She was born on November 3, 1917 in Janesville, a daughter of John and Hulda (Garbrecht) Waldman. On February 22, 1941, she was united in marriage to Oscar Myhre. They had 5 children, and together they farmed in the Janesville and Stoughton areas until 1952. Jane worked as a dietician until her retirement at Stoughton Hospital. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Stoughton Senior Citizens. Jane is beloved for her sense of humor and will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by four children, Richard, Beaver Dam, Marie (Tom) Lynch, Beaver Dam, Marjorie of N. Freedom, and Christine (Richard Sowtzke) Myhre of Sheldon; 12 grandchildren: and 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar in 1991 after 50 wonderful years of marriage; by her daughter Marlene Myhre in 1997; by 4 brothers, John, George, William and Frederick Waldman; and by a sister, Beulah Waldman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton, with the Rev. Jerry Pribbenow officiating. Burial will follow at Eastside Cemetery in Stoughton. The family will greet friends at church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
