Pardeeville

Pardeeville – Jane Ann (Hellenbrand) Schwartz, age 68, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family after a short battle with cancer. Jane was born on July 28, 1956, the fourth child of Jerome and Dorothy (Brockman) Hellenbrand. She attended St John the Baptist Catholic School and Waunakee High School, graduating in 1974. In 1975, she married Anthony (Tony) Schwartz.

After graduation, Jane worked a variety of jobs including waitressing at the Cozy Inn and customer service at Yonkers. She found she enjoyed patient care when she began working at Dean Clinic as a certified nursing assistant. She decided to begin schooling for a Registered Nurse degree. She worked for Dean Clinic for over 20 years assisting doctors in the Orthopedics and Dermatology Departments. She cherished the many friendships she developed with coworkers. In January 2020, she decided to retire which was, coincidentally, just before the start of the Covid pandemic.

Jane and Tony lived in the rural areas of Waunakee, Marshall, and Verona farming during the early years of their marriage. Then, they moved into Verona where their children attended school, followed by moving to Waunakee where their youngest finished high school. Shortly before retiring, they bought a house in rural Pardeeville. Tony enjoyed gardening and Jane would freeze or can the produce, with the excess going to family and the food pantry. Jane loved to read and enjoyed spending quality time with their grandchildren.

Jane is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Tony; daughters, Alisha (Jeff) Boss of Greenville SC, Katherine Davis of Mondovi and Vicky (Jeremy) Dolfin of Waterloo; sons, Charles (Roberta) Schwartz of Plymouth and Christopher (Natalie) Schwartz of Pardeeville; grandchildren Forrest, Jacob, and Hailey Davis, Cara, Carson, Regan and Riley Schwartz, Maren, Logan, Mason and Calvin Dolfin, Jaxon, Rya and Ryker Schwartz; and great-granddaughter Alayna Davis. She is further survived by her sister Carin Wallin, brothers, Richard (Cindy) Hellenbrand, Michael (Ruth) Hellenbrand, all of Waunakee, and brother, Daniel (Evelyn Ovwvou) Hellenbrand of Parker CO. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael Schwartz, Peter Schwartz, Teresa Schwartz, Rosella (Steve) Paulson, Marie Webster, Daniel (Sharon) Schwartz, Donald (Annie) Schwartz, Francis (Dawn) Schwartz, Bernard (Denise) Schwartz, Helen Schwartz, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, brother, Rodney, grandparents, Ewald and Mary Brockman and John and Gertrude Hellenbrand, father and mother-in-law, Frank and Mary Schwartz, sister-in-law, Bonnie Schwartz, brother-in-law, James Webster, nephew, Randy Eroen, as well as several aunts and uncles.

The family would like to especially thank Wendy, RN with SSM Health Hospice for her compassion and care during Jane’s final weeks.

A celebration of life will be held on Sat. Sept. 21,2024 at Waunakee American Legion Hall 417 E. Main St. Waunakee from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. A private burial for the immediate family will occur at a later date.
