Janel Oberle

MIDDLETON-Our loving daughter, Janel Christine Oberle, 27, of Middleton passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017. Janel was born in Madison to Steve and Jayne (Roessler) Oberle on January 4, 1990. She graduated from Waunakee High School with honors in 2008. While in high school, she worked as a CNA at Waunakee Manor Nursing Home. Her wit and gentle, caring spirit spurred her on to pursue a career in nursing. She graduated from Edgewood College in 2012 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and a minor in Spanish.

Janel had a compassionate heart and was always concerned for others, especially children. She made two trips to Guatemala; the first with the Edgewood College Nursing Program and the second with her dad where together they assisted with a feeding program for poor and underprivileged children in Guatemala City and the countryside of southern Guatemala. All of her life, Janel enjoyed music, travel, and spending time with family and friends. While in college she pursued her passion for dance by taking lessons at Fred Astaire Dance Studio. Janel loved animals and was especially devoted to her cherished cats, Max and Molly.

She is survived by her mother, Jayne (Dan) Roelke; her father, Steve (Connie) Oberle; her grandparents, Jim and Joan Oberle and Marcus and Beverly Roelke; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Ken and Diane Roessler.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Wisdom Monastery, 4200 County Road M, Middleton, WI. Visitation will be at Holy Wisdom from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service with a reception to follow.
