Janet M. Bartel, age 79, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Thursday, March 31, 2022. She was born on February 6, 1943, in Madison, daughter to Robert and Veda (Wilson) Haas. She was united in marriage to Richard Larsen. They were married 15 years and raised David, Kim, and Ken. After they divorced, they remained friends. Janet married David Bartel, they were married for over 30 years, and raised Daniel and Sarah.

Janet had several different careers during her life. She worked as a nursing assistant in her younger years and worked for Webcrafters later in life. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed bowling, camping, and watching auto racing. Janet was a member of the Eagles Club.

Janet is survived by her children; David (Jani) Larsen, Dan Bartel, and Sarah Bartel; grandchildren Sean, Megan, James, Dakota, Devin (Kailey) and Dominic.

She was preceded in death by her husband David, children Kim and Ken Larsen.

A memorial service will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 2:00p.m., visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
