Janet Wenger

Janet (Dolly) R. Wenger, age 64, passed away peacefully at home on June 13, 2020. Janet was born October 14, 1955 to Henry and Beatrice Cochems. She married Craig Wenger on June 25, 1983. Craig passed away February 14, 2020. She was also preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister Carol and her brothers, Jimmy and Chuck. Janet is survived by her brothers, Ron, Paul, Ken and David and her in-laws Bruce and Karen.

Janet graduated from West High in 1973. Janet began to work at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1982. She didn’t care to drive, so she took the bus to and from work no matter the weather. Janet was a kind, caring person who never met a stranger. She was well known for sending hand written cards and messages for all life events. She and Craig had a marriage like no other. The two of them were inseparable. We believe she died of a broken heart. Janet will be missed by many friends and family members.

Janet was cremated privately. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic there will be no formal or informal services or gatherings. We ask that you gather in small socially distanced groups privately to remember Janet and celebrate her life.
