Janet Georgi

Mercer, WI-- Jan died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 17, 2019. She was born at home on April 19, 1933 in Mercer the daughter of Darrell and Vera Brandt. She was a proud graduate of Mercer High School, a founder and charter member of the Mercer Lioness Club, and a volunteer at the Paw Shop. Jan worked various jobs up until the age of 80 years.

In 1981, she was united in marriage to Walter "Buddy" Georgi, Jr., and together, they enjoyed watching the Packers (she was an owner), loved watching the Badgers, and especially enjoyed watching the Mercer Tigers Sports Teams.

Jan is survived by her husband, Walter "Buddy" Georgi, Jr.; 2 sons, Darrell (Debi Kastner) Olson and Jeff Minton; a daughter, Rita (Doug) Wellman; 2 step-sons, Chip (Kathy) Georgi and Mike (Carla King) Georgi; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jan will also be dearly missed by her beloved cat, Tigger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rosemarie Primely; and a brother, Jack Brandt.

There will be a private family graveside service at Mercer Cemetery in the fall.
