Janice Boese

Sun Prairie - Janice Ann Boese, age 71, passed away at home while surrounded by her family on Tuesday, November 08, 2011.

Janice was born on January 10, 1940 in Beaver Dam, WI, the daughter of Howard and Bernice (Lepple) Matthews. She married her husband, Roger on October 18, 1958 in Columbus, WI.

Janice was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. She enjoyed reading, painting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, gardening and spending time with her children and many grandchildren. Janice lived in various locations throughout her life, the most recent in Tucson, Arizona for 14 years, Ohio for 3 years and finally Sun Prairie in 1998.

Janice is survived by 7 children, Pam (Skip) Claypool of Chesterland, OH, Joe (Toni) Boese of DeForest, Doreen (Dan) Swanson of Tucson AZ, Russ (Kendra) Boese of Blanchardville, Jim (Vicki) Boese of Sauk City, Linda Boese of Sun Prairie and Deanne (Eddie) Oswalt of Sun Prairie; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine (Marvin) Fierke of Juneau, WI; a brother, William Nadolski of Kissimmee, FL, a special friend, Pam Peterson of Greendale WI, and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger on April 5th, 2008 and twin daughters in infancy, Dawn and Diane.

Funeral services will be held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie, WI on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. David J. Berggren and Rev. Julie Krahn officiating. A visitation will be held at the Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM and also on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will conclude at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice, especially her lead nurse, Kim and all the friends and family that have touched our lives.
