Janice Poole

Madison - Janice Marie Poole, age 88, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Girlies Manor in Cross Plains. She was born the daughter of Carl and Fredonia (Teach) Andreas February 10, 1924 in Prairie du Sac. She graduated from Sauk Prairie High School in 1943 and lived all of her adult life in Madison. Janice married Stanley R. Poole in October of 1946. There was always a place at her holiday table for those who didn't have a place to go. Janice is survived by her children Lynn L. (Carol) Poole, Craig S. (Marianne) Poole, Kevin C. (Jon) Poole, 5 granddaughters, Amy (Tom) Hartman, Molly (Ty) Carroll, Anne (Norm Jr.) Esser, Ginny (TJ) Bryan, and Stacy (Brad) Erickson, 11 great grandchildren, Jack and Reganne Hartman, Maggie and Sarah Carroll, Lynette, Joey, Keagan, Lainey and Gabby Esser, and Eddie Bryan, who she loved dearly and will all miss "Great." She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley in 1998, sons Wade E. in 1996, and Stacy A. in 1983. There will be a visitation from 5 pm until 7 pm Friday, April 12, 2013 at CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705. A private family burial will be held. The family would like to thank the staff of Girlies Manor for their compassionate care. Memorials may be made in Janice's name to Agrace HospiceCare.
