MADISON--Jean Katherine Findley (nee Postweiler), age 71 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, December 9, 2013. Jean was born in Madison on January 7, 1942 to the late Herman and Herta (Heidt) Postweiler.
Jean grew up in Madison and was a graduate of West High's class of 1960. She loved being with her family above all, but could always be found sewing, quilting, or creating something of interest. Throughout her lifelong struggle with Lupus, Jean taught others lessons of courage and finding joy. She was a resilient, special woman and will be missed by many.
She is survived by her twin daughters, Katherine (Jacob) and Krista (Michael), as well as her son, Steve (Jennifer), eight grandchildren, and her brother Reini (Debbie) and his family. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Susan; and son Fritz.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff of the UW Hospital and Clinics.
