Jean E. Fine

STOUGHTON, WI -Jean Fine, age 79, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Nazareth Health & Rehab due to the effects of dementia. She was born September 11, 1930 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents Earl and Edna Dotson.

She was an intelligent and proud woman, who was deeply passionate about fairness and justice in the world. Above everything, she was the most devoted and caring mother and grandmother, and she is loved more than words can express. Her love for her children, grandchildren, family and friends was the heart of her life and she treasured every one of them everyday. She will be missed terribly.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Leslie (Jim) Satchell of Madison, WI; son, Jay (Leslie) Fine of Yakima, WA; grandchildren: Beth and Emily Satchell of Madison, WI and David Fine of Yakima, WA; sisters, Joan Thierheimer and Jane Hogan, both of St. Louis, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, June Freund.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2009, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, WI with a visitation starting at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Madison, WI.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Jean's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association or Congregation Shaare Emeth Pre-School in St. Louis, Missouri.
