Jean Gardner

Madison – Jean Drusilla Gardner, age 82, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. She was born in Potosi, Wisconsin, on November 12. 1939, the daughter of John and Florence (Faherty) Gardner. Jean was a twin to her sister Joan. Jean and Joan grew up in Dubuque, Iowa, and Platteville and graduated from Platteville High School. They both then went to MATC, where Jean studied accounting. After completing the accounting course, Jean was employed by Cuna Mutual, where she spent a 37-year career. She will be remembered for her job dedication. She was also a longtime volunteer at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Jean will be missed by her many nieces and nephews and other relatives who always receive cards from her for all birthdays and holidays.

She is survived by two sisters, Joyce Burkholder of Madison and Mary Moffett of Lake City, FL, and two brothers, Jim of Waukesha and Dennis of FT. Collins, CO.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jack, and two sisters, Joan smith (twin) and Kathy Poller.

Internment will be at a later date in Platteville and graveside services will be held at that time.
