Jean A. Gjermo

Stoughton- Jean Ann Gjermo, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 24, 2024, at Stoughton Hospital.  She was born January 24, 1943, in Stoughton to the late John and Anna (Strandlie) Almond.   Jean worked at the Stoughton Public Library for 41 years, retiring in 2006.

Jean is survived by her daughters Jane (Steve) Groshan and Samantha Gjermo; grandkids; Lucas, Derek (Maggie), Parker, Oliver, Logan, great grandkids Aurelia and Ethan; brothers: Ron (Barb) Almond and Jackie (Jeanette) Almond.  She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands: John Olson, Fran Melaas, Sam Gjermo and companion John Waring.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday January 29, 2024 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 206 W. Prospect St. Stoughton with Rev. Wendy Moen presiding.  Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the service at the funeral home on Monday.  Private burial will be at Eastside Cemetery in Stoughton.
