Jean Kelly

Sun Prairie - Jean Margaret Kelly, age 86, died on January 13, 2012 while at her home.

Jean was born on November 9, 1925 in Montfort, WI, the daughter of Phillip and Mae (Cordts) Spoerle. She graduated from Montfort High School. She married Lester Kelly on December 3, 1955 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA.

Jean enjoyed crocheting and was a big Packer and Brewer fan. Jean was the greatest mom anyone could have. She always put her children and grandchildren first. She also loved all other children as well. Over the years she and her husband worked very hard on the farm in rural Sun Prairie.

She is survived by her children, Linda (Rex) Kelly of Las Vegas, Sally (Richard) Preuss of Pardeeville, Janis (David) Hasz of Dominican Republic, Alan (Teresa Vike-Kelly) Kelly of Sun Prairie and Lou Ann (Peter) Kelly of Sun Prairie; 9 grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Kate and Caroline and two brothers, Ralph (Jo) and Dick (Betty Lou).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester in June of 2000, a son, Jim, and three brothers, Fritz, Harold and Bud.

Funeral services will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, 3702 County Road AB, McFarland WI on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will also take place at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will conclude at Hope Lutheran Church cemetery.
