Jean Mccloskey

April 29, 1921 — December 30, 2013

Madison - Jean E. McCloskey, age 92, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, December 30, 2013 at Clare Bridge in Sun Prairie. Jean died peacefully surrounded and supported by her loving family that she was so very proud of.
Jean was born on April 29, 1921 in Highland, Wisconsin, the daughter of Walter and Christine Conroy. She was united in marriage to James J. McCloskey on November 4, 1940.
Jean is survived by her seven children; Dianne McCloskey, Darlene (Dean) Strander, Susan (Rich) Roberts, Michael (Kerry) McCloskey, Charlene (Chris) Nelson, Pat (Kyla) McCloskey and Joseph (Melissa) McCloskey. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim in 1988, her parents, a brother Wilson, four sisters; Marie, Scottie, Margaret, Katherine and her granddaughter Amy Caravello.
Funeral services will be held at GRACE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1801 S. Thompson Drive, Madison on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 12:30pm with Pastor Dean Howell officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday at the church from 10:30 am until the time of services. Private graveside services will be held later on Monday at Dekorra Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions made to Grace Baptist Church, 1801 S. Thompson Dr. Madison, WI 53716 or to Agrace HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711.The family would like to extend their special thanks to Dean and Tammi Howell, Jean's grandson and his wife, our sister, Charlene, who were Mom's caregivers prior to her moving to Clare Bridge, the staff at Clare Bridge in Sun Prairie and to Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
