Jeanette Gertrude Annen, age 87 passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021. She was born in Cross Plains on June 10, 1933 to Martin and Margaret (Koch) Marking.
Jeanette was a lifelong resident of the Madison area. She married Werner Adam Annen on June 7, 1958 in Madison. They were longtime members of the Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, St. James. Jeanette worked at Kendrick Labs for over 20 years before retiring.
Jeanette enjoyed playing Solitaire and Yahtzee, word puzzles, and watching football. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Silva and Brenda Annen, both of Windsor; grandchildren, Nicole Silva and Amanda (Drew) Hanke; great-grandson, Jacob Hanke; sister Rita Kelly; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Werner (2002); and brothers, Edward, Sr., and Jerome Marking.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Cress Center, 6021 University Ave. Madison with Father David Carrano of St. James Catholic Church presiding. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the time of the service. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Madison. The service will be streamed.
