Jeanette M. Drews

Jeanette M. Drews, age 89, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009 in a local care center.  She was born July 24, 1919, in Madison, the daughter of William and Amelia (Johnson) Brinkman.  Prior to her retirement in 1987, Jeanette had been employed by Madison East High School.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Eagles Club and the Moose Lodge.   Survivors include a daughter Diana (Joseph) Chandler of MI; 2 sons: Harold (Linda) Drews of Cottage Grove and Dennis ( Nancy) Drews of IN; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Dorothy Beckwith and Lavone (Glenn) Otto both of Madison and a sister-in-law Agnes Brinkman of Madison.  She was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1968, her parents and 2 brothers: Robert and Edward and a sister Alice.   Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 24 at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME where friends may call from 11:00 am  until time of service.  Reverend John Ruppenthal will officiate and burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to HospiceCare, Inc.
