Jeanette C. McGaren

Madison-Jeanette C. McGaren, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her home. She was born on March 27, 1926 in Madison the daughter of John H. & Marcella A. (Bowar) Kalscheur. Jeanette was united in marriage with David McGaren on May 27, 1961 in Madison. She was a lifelong resident of Madison. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts, reading and travelling. She travelled worldwide with her husband and family who was serving at the time in the U.S.A.F. Jeanette is survived by her children, Danny (Paulette) Gest, Linda (Jerry) Sands and Michael McGaren, all of Madison; her grandchildren, Jerry (Teresa) Sands, Michelle (John) Witt, Daniel (Fawn) Sands and James Tiffany; her great-grandsons, Matthew Sands, Bryan Sands and Brandon Witt; her brothers, Donald (Luana) Kalscheur, Verona and Paul Kalscheur, Cross Plains; her sister, Sharon (Dick) Sersch, Dodgeville; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1988, daughter, Debra Gest and grandson, Jason Sands, sister-in-law, Patricia Kalscheur and nephew, Douglas Kalscheur. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison with Msgr. Michael E. Hippee presiding. Burial will be held in Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
