Jeanine Lohr

Jeanine Ann Lohr of Sun Prairie, WI died on September 28, 2022.  She was born to Dorothy (Drews) and El’Nathan Juedes in Rochester, Minnesota on August 11, 1938.  She graduated from Madison West High School in 1956 and then North Central College in Naperville, IL in 1960.  She married Rev. Bert Lohr in 1960.  She was an elementary school teacher in Warrenville, IL and then in the DeForest School District. She also supported her husband in ministry in Wauzeka, Eastman, Milwaukee, Janesville, Sun Prairie, Platteville and Evansville.  Jeanine enjoyed crafts, quilting, knitting and camping in Door County. She also had many cats through the years.  She was a member of Sun Prairie United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Richard) Mulhern of Cottage Grove; sons, Mark  (Debborah) Lohr of Sun Prairie; and Brian (Virginia) Lohr of Stevens Point. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Jacob (Liz), Connor, Jack (Jordan) Mulhern, Christopher, Davis, Erica Lohr, Jaimie, Kaitlyn, Samantha and Alyssa Lohr.  Also surviving is a sister, Sue Gordon (Sun Prairie), and sister-in-law, Marilyn Albright (Beatrice, NB).

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, at the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church with Rev. Jenny Arneson officiating with lunch following. A visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. will take place prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may go to the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church at 702 North Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 or to the Rainbow Hospice at 147 W. Rockwell Street, Jefferson, WI 53549. The family would like to thank the staff at Hyland Park Campus in Sun Prairie and Rainbow Hospice for their love, care and support during this time.
