Jeanne Wagner

December 27, 1938 — May 14, 2014

In Loving Memory

Jeanne Wagner, age, 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. She was born December 27, 1938 in Madison, the youngest child of Carl and Helen Geishirt.

Jeanne graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1957, and was united in marriage to Bill J. Wagner on November 29, 1958. Jeanne worked at Central Wisconsin Center for many years and retired from the University of Wisconsin. After she retired, she and Bill would spend winters in Arizona and Florida. She enjoyed time in the woods, camping and deer hunting with Bill, her children and grandchildren. On Sundays, you would find her and Bill shooting trap and sporting clays with friends and family. Jeanne enjoyed traveling to Egypt with friends, which was a dream of hers since childhood. Jeanne started a spiritual search attending many retreats at St. Joseph's in Door County, Notre Dame, and checking out Native American Culture. She found god in love and in people. She loved her flower gardens, and her family brought great joy to her life. Jeanne was a member of the Jefferson Gun Club and two year high shooting woman of the year.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill; sons, Randy (Juliene), Gregg (Vicki) and Billy (Lisa) Wagner; and sister Betty (Bob) Blanchar. She also leaves behind her ten grandchildren Brandon, Nate, Denee', Dallas, Zach, Tyler, Nick, Crystal, Dalton, Vanessa; and four great grandchildren Cayden, Mason, McKenna and Marshall. She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie; parents; brothers Bud, Donnie, Elmer and sister, Sis.

A Celebration of Jeanne' s life will be held 4:00pm on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm until time of service at the funeral home.

A special thank you to Jeanne's loving husband Bill, who stood by her with his love, tenderness and patience. Also, a special thank you to Nancy Slominshking, Linda Olsen, family and friends who were there for Jeanne with their concern and love; UW Carbone Cancer staff; doctors Kari Wisinski and Lee Wilke, who showed so much care and concern, and Infinite Boundaries Retreat at Madeline Island which taught Jeanne to live in the now and taught her about strength from the women who shared her journey.

Jeanne and Julie are now reunited in heaven with Jesus.
