Jeffrey Alan Dalton passed away peacefully on Sunday May 14, 2017 after a brave battle against cancer. Jeff was born to Joseph A Dalton and Emily Louise Dalton (Uttenweiler) on February 11, 1961 in Madison, WI. He graduated from Madison West High School in 1979 and attended UW Oshkosh. Jeff was employed as a collections specialist at Thomas & Betts. He married Anne Sorensen on September 6, 1986. They were best friends and beloved companions for over 30 years. Jeff had two other passions in life: the Green Bay Packers and traveling the world with Anne by his side. His love of travel was nurtured by the many camping trips he took across the U.S. with his brother and sister. Jeff had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit. He was happiest when making someone laugh. Jeff never met a dog he didn't like and dearly missed his beloved Beagle, Bailey, who preceded him in death. Jeff's favorite place to spend time was Door County. He loved being near the water and could never resist getting his feet wet. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, and Anne's parents Ethel and Donald Sorensen.
He is survived by his loving wife Anne, brother Douglas (Carol) and niece Liana, sister Linda Roth, niece Katherine Roth (Kenny), brother-in-law Donald Sorensen, nephew Cody Sorensen, and sister-in-law Kay Combs (John). A private family service will be held prior to burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the UW Carbone Cancer Center, Agrace Hospice Care, or the Dane County Humane Society. Jeff was a wonderful husband, brother, uncle, and friend and will truly be missed by all who knew him. Go Pack!
