Jeffrey Durkee

MADISON – Jeffrey Allen Durkee, 66, of Madison, passed away on March 11, 2021 at Skaalen Nursing Home in Stoughton after a very long illness. Jeffrey was a lifelong resident of Madison. He was born August 8, 1954, to Donald and Patricia (Loy) Durkee.

In his earlier years, Jeff enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with his dad and older brother, Don Jr. Jeffrey also enjoyed auto mechanics and putzing with cars that needed some fixing. He was a big music fan, who loved Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix, and Jeff played a mean set of drums.

Jeffrey is survived by his brothers, Donald Jr. of Sun Prairie, and Tim Durkee of Madison; sisters, Joni (Steve) Postler of Sun Prairie, and Terry (Chuck) Berryman of Blue Mounds. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeff’s name to the National Alliance of Mental Illness – Dane County , or the American Cancer Society .
