MIDDLETON-Jeffrey Alan Ellingson, age 57, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 9, 2015. Born February 17, 1958, the son of Henry and Erma (Lawrence) Ellingson, Jeff's greatest passions in life included his family, his music and his sense of humor. Jeff's passion for entertaining began at home in the basement with his three older brothers where he grew to became an accomplished lead guitar player. His love for music, friends and entertaining
catapulted Jeff into the local band scene at a tender age. He thereafter enjoyed a lifetime of music performing with Smoke, Tokin Creek, The Ellingson Brothers Band, The Rattlers and endless open jam sessions. His passion for entertaining didn't stop there.....Jeff was employed at the Department of Motor Vehicles forever (his words not ours) where he perfected his 'stand up' routine with hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin drivers. He humorously engaged every
patron and wasn't happy until he extracted a smile.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Alan Ellingson, Jr. of Madison; his sister Kathy, (John) Schutte of Pembine; two brothers, Marty (Connie) Ellingson of Waunakee and Gary (Vic) Ellingson of Orlando, Florida; and extended family, friends and loved ones.
