Jeffrey W. Uselman

Jeffrey William Uselman, passed away on Sunday April 7^th, 2024. He was born on July 1^st, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin to Francis and Geraldine (Starry) Uselman.   Jeff graduated early in his senior year from Queen of Apostles High School class of 1977 and elected to join the Army at the age of 17.  

Jeff had served in multiple areas during his time with the Army including time spent overseas in Germany.   Upon returning to the United States, he met the love of his life Kim.  Following an honorable discharge from the Army, Jeff began an apprenticeship in the plumbing trades.   

After working many years as a foreman at a local company, Jeff entered a family partnership and was co-owner of Uselman Plumbing Incorporated.  He took great pride in all the local homes he helped complete. 

Outside of work, Jeff never missed a Packer game and loved all Wisconsin sports.  He enjoyed spending time working in the yard and thoroughly enjoyed watching various TV game shows.  In his later years, Jeff also enjoyed spending time at their log cabin located outside of the Wisconsin Dells having a great time relaxing and listening to anything from his favorite Bee Gees to Big and Rich.  Jeff loved his family immensely, and he considered his friends to be family.  Jeff was also known to host a great event for family and friends; he loved hosting those gatherings where everyone would always receive a warm heartfelt hug for being there.

Jeff is survived by his wife Kim; sons Josh (Crystal) Uselman and Jeff Cameron; grandchildren Carter,   Violet Uselman and Riley Cameron; father-in-law Kenneth Wise; (sister) Lynn Swenson (Tony Prestigiacomo), (brother) Mark (Denise) Uselman, (sister) Sue (Steve) Hooker, (sister) Diane (Rich) Moretti, (brother) Steven Goldsmith (Teresa), (brother-in-law) Kevin Wise (Lonie), (sister-in-law) Karla Christensen (Dan), (brother-in-law) Kurt Wise, and (sister-in-law) Diane Rider; and many nieces, nephews, dear friends and felines Felix Garcia and Lili.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father Francis Uselman (who sadly he lost at a very young age); mother and father Geraldine (Alan) Goldsmith; mothers-in-law Josephine Wise and Sharyl Hayes; brothers David Uselman, Carey Uselman, and John “Jack” Uselman, sister-in-law Lou Uselman; nephew Justin Wise; and his three beloved felines Redzer, Stevies, and Leo.

Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, 221 Columbus Street, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM.  Jeff will be brought to his final place of rest at Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Sun Prairie immediately following the Mass.

The family would like to thank Dr. David Kass, MD SSM Health Sun Prairie, Dr. Michelle Bryan, MD Prairie Ridge Health Columbus Hospital and Clinics and Staff, Comfort Keepers, and Visiting Angels for their compassionate care they showed Jeff during his time of need.

Everyone you meet in life is afraid of something, has loved something, and has lost something.  In memory of Jeff, please take the time to reach out and connect with someone you’ve been meaning to but have not.  Life is short and tomorrow is not guaranteed.
