Jennifer Bancroft

Waunakee - Jennifer G. Bancroft, age 72, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 26, 1940 to Gilferd and Lula (Vieth) Von Haden in Elroy. Jennifer had a 30 year career as a nursing supervisor at Mendota Mental Health. She enjoyed gardening, Badger football and basketball games, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Jennifer is survived by her daughters, Michele Laux and Heidi Lezotte; step-sons, Bruce (Laurel) Bancroft of California and Craig (Doris) Bancroft of Canada; grandchildren, Brianna Laux, Gabrielle Strittmatter, Logan Lezotte, Isabelle Lezotte, Brittany Bancroft and Benjamin Bancroft; siblings, Terry (Jan) Von Haden of Madison and Carla Von Haden of Elroy; nieces, Sara (Matt) Esslinger of San Francisco, Tracy (Eric) Van Andel of Waukesha and Kristin (Jeff) Heelan of Edina, MN, and all of their children; and a very special aunt, Beulah Thompson of Elroy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lula and Gilferd Von Haden; her son, Scott Brown; and her husband, George Bancroft.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at WINN-CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 Highway Q, Waunakee, with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, P.O. Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.

Jennifer's compassionate heart and strong spirit touched those who knew her. Her generosity was abundant.
