December 30, 1958 — February 2, 2025

Madison

Madison- Jenny Mary Reuter was born on December 30, 1958 in Nekoosa, WI to Don and Alice Treleven. She was very active in band in high school and won many awards playing the clarinet in the Nekoosa High School band. Jenny graduated from high school as Valedictorian of her class. She went to the UW Madison and graduated with a Bachelor of Science and natural science degrees. She worked for Foremost McKesson in Plover. In 1984 Wisconsin Dairy Coops acquired Foremost McKesson and Jenny was hired as a Food Chemist in the WI Dairy Plant in Sauk City, WI. In 1985 she met her future husband Mike Reuter. They were married on May 16, 1987. In 1995 the cooperative merged with Golden Guernsey and Ampi, Jenny worked out of the main office in the Application Lab. She really enjoyed working with customers trying to figure out solutions to problems they were having with their ingredient formulation. Jenny worked for Foremost Farms USA for 42 years and really like working with fellow employees.

Jenny had many hobbies- cross stitching, baking, making cards with her Stamping Up groups, and spending time with her numerous friends. She was excellent at solving problems because she had incredible patience and would try to figure out and analyze the situation. But in 2022 Jenny was diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer. Jenny and Mike made many trips to the hospital for tests and infusions. Her journey finally came to an end at home with hospice care on February 2, 2025.

Jenny is survived by her husband of 37 years, Mike; sisters-in-law, Pam (George McDonald), Patti (Jim) Pederson, Dennis (Lynn) Reuter, Jan (Jon) Reuter-Backenburg, Michelle Reuter, and Lisa (Dennis) Janke; brother-in-law, Kirk Garoutte. She was preceded in death by her parents; in laws, Ed and Dolores Reuter; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Garoutte, Penny Young, and Jill Reuter-Walls.

A celebration of Jenny’s life will take place sometime this summer.
