Jerry A. Lothe

February 13, 1944 — August 14, 2010

Stevens Point/Sun Prairie - Jerry A. Lothe, age 66 passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 14, 2010 from complications from a fall. He was born on February 13, 1944 in Madison, the son of Julian and Mary (Aspel) Lothe. Jerry's family moved to Stevens Point in 1967 where he was employed by the WI Retail Hardware Association for 38 years. Jerry retired in 2005. Following his retirement, he worked for a period of time for the National Hardware Association. He spent his high school years working for Conrad's Supermarket in Sun Prairie. Jerry opened and managed a local hardware store from 1963 until 1967. Jerry was married to Donna Hoepker on Nov. 9, 1963.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Lothe; children Tammy (David) Molski, Michael (Denise) Lothe all of Stevens Point and Jeffrey (Lynda) Lothe of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Anthony and Shayna Molski, Tiffany, Alexandra and Brooke Lothe, and Bryce and Dane Lothe; brothers, Richard (Dottie) of TX, Jon (Linda), and Jim (Sue) of Sun Prairie; his sister Nancy Rockwell of Virquoa; a brother-in-law, Jerry Hoepker and many wonderful loving nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Kenny Rockwell. Jerry and Donna spent their retirement traveling, visiting family and friends and seeing the USA.

Funeral services will be held at BURKE LUTHERAN CHURCH,5720 Portage Rd., Madison on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 11:00 am with Pastor Russ Leeper officiating. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Friday, August 20, 2010 from 4 to 7 pm and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of services.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Stevens Point on Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 4-7 P.M. at Iverson Park All Purpose Building by the sled hill.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be given to the Lothe family charitable fund.
