Jim Towle

Stoughton- Jim Towle Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at his home. He was born in Gary, Indiana on June 19, 1948, the son of Everett and Lucille Towle. Jim graduated from Edison High School in Gary, Indiana in 1966. Following his graduation, Jim served as a medic in the US Army, stationed in Germany. On June 17, 1972 he was united in marriage to Cheri Crews. Together they enjoyed traveling, fellowship with their church, and spending time with family and friends. He was a lifelong Cubs fan who enjoyed attending opening day at Wrigley Field. His passion for people and cars, including his own 1968 Roadrunner, led him to a successful career in car sales for over 25 years in Stoughton.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheri; two children, Wendy (Fiore) Taylor and Jim Towle Jr.; two grandchildren, Christopher (Caycee) Taylor and Paige (Aaron) Casey; one great grandson, Logan Taylor; brother, Gary (Michelle) Towle; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings, Dottie Wanat, Everett Towle Jr., Betty (Russ) Wegner; and sister-in-law, Anita Hunter.

Visitation will begin at 1:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect Street, Stoughton.
