Jo Ann Lange

Jo Ann Lange, age 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at her home. She was born November 26, 1929, the daughter of Adolph and Amine (Tanner) Bieberstein in Madison. She received her teaching degree from the University of Wisconsin. Jo Ann was united in marriage to Robert Lange in Madison on June 9, 1951, and had spent most of her early years in Madison, had moved away, but had chosen Madison the place to retire. Jo Ann was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Jo was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt to her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert, their devoted children, Dan (Mary Ann) Lange, of St. Charles MO, Gary (Susan) Lange, of Cedarburg, WI and Sherry (Dave) Ulrey of Battle Creek, MI and cherished grandchildren, Karin Lange, Stephen Lange, Erin Ulrey, and Alyssa Ulrey. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Patricia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at BETHANY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3910 Mineral Point Rd., Madison, WI 53705, with visitation from 1:00 pm until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials in Jo's name may be made to HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Madison, WI 53711, or Bethany United Methodist Church, 3910 Mineral Point Rd., Madison, WI 53705.
