Joan H. Neuberger Lange

Joan H Neuberger Lange, 87 of Waunakee passed away at Agrace Hospice on February 14^th, 2024. Joan was born September 9, 1936, in Pine River, MN and joined parents Joe and Mabel and sisters Lois and Patricia. Joan did not have an unhappy memory of her childhood.  “Lucky Me” Joan moved with her parents to Sparta, WI and graduated High School in 1954. She moved to Madison and attended Madison General Hospital to study nursing, a profession she worked at for 40 years. Joan married Duane Lange and moved to Waunakee, WI where they raised their three sons Tim, Todd, and Tracey. There was seldom a time when there was not a pet in the home. They brought Joan a sense of joy and love.

Joan is survived by her husband, Duane, her sons Tim (Kathy) their children Joe and Ellie, Todd (Gail) their children Jack, Claire, and Kate, Tracey (Jean) Maddie, Ian, and Colin.   Joan is also survived by her cat, Buddy. Joan is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mabel Neuberger, Sisters Lois (Bob)Ericson, and Patrica (Bill) Flanagan, and son Mark who died as an infant.

“It was important to me that my family and friends from High School, Nursing School, and Co-Workers know how grateful I have always been for their contribution to my happy life. I want to know my children, their kind spouses, and my grandchildren are well and loved and my cat is fed.  My work here is done Lucky Me—Lucky Me.”
