JoAnne Yvonne Farnsworth

JoAnne Yvonne Farnsworth, 72, of Deerfield, died on April 10, as her family surrounded her bedside, singing her way into heaven. She was born on February 28, 1937, in Ridgeway Wisconsin, and graduated from Deerfield High School in 1955. JoAnne enjoyed her job as an outreach worker at the Stoughton Senior Center, McFarland Outreach Center and at Creative Care in Stoughton. Mom enjoyed painting, knitting, cake decorating and spending time with her family. She is survived by her nine loving children:   Kevin (Jill), Deerfield, Rhonda Wethal (Mark), Stoughton, Lori Gosdeck (Tim), Terri Borrud (Ralph), Deerfield, Kristen Paape (Daniel), Waterloo, Rob (Diane), Mt. Horeb, Rick (Dawn), Deerfield, Randy, Cottage Grove, Michael (special friend, Bobbi), Deerfield. She is also survived by a sister, Judith (Warner) Halverson, Stevens Point and a brother, Dan (Jane) Kelly, Deerfield. JoAnne was blessed with 24 very special grandchildren: Jamie, Jeff, Chad, Abbey, Ryan, Tara, Kayla, Karly, Kurt, Siri, Emily, Leah, Joel, Katie, Brett, Bryce, Blake, Lindsay, Lauren, Cody, Colin, Amanda, Layne, Brooke. Brady Wethal was her only great grandchild.   She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and special friends.   She was preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Annie Kelly and brother, Larry Kelly, all of Deerfield.   A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:30 am at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, 3494 Oak Park Rd., Deerfield, with the Rev. Dan Anderson officiating.   The family will greet friends at church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.   The family would like to thank Select Specialty Hospital staff for their wonderful care. A special thank you to St. Mary's Care Center for making her feel at home. Mom, we will miss your giving spirit, unconditional love, big brown eyes, and loving laugh. You inspire many. We love you, your kids.
