JoDeen M. Walker passed away peacefully Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. She was born the daughter of Justin and Hilda (Quist) Wilkinson in Camp Douglas, WI. She was united in marriage to Claire Walker in 1967, and had lived in Madison for the last 35 years. She was a member of Queen of Peace Parish, and had served as a funeral luncheon volounteer, and also assisted with Eucharistic gifts. She was an Angel with the Attic Angel Association, Women's Auxilliary member with the Madison Builder's Association, had served on the Nakoma Women's Organization, and was a Past President (1996). She was also an avid golfer, was a member of the Nakoma Golf Club, the 18 Hole Women, the WIFF Tour Group, and was also a member of the Metropolitan Women's Club. JoDeen was a devoted Wife, a loving Mother and Grandmother, and a friend to many. Her friends and family will miss her dearly, and cherish her memories. She is survived by her loving husband Claire, her children, Marni (Michael) Brown, Thomas (Marie) Walker, Trea (fianc�` Jeremy Behrendt) Walker, Stephen (Stephany) Walker, and Mark (Sue) Walker, and cherished grandchildren Halle Brown, Clara Brown, Linsey Trapino, Justin Walker, Jennifer (Tracey) Schroeder, Jessica (Tyler) Johnson, Jon (Stephanie) Walker, and Joshua Walker. A visitation will be held from 4 until 7pm on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI 53705. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 (noon) on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison, WI 53711, with Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. Burial will follow at Camp Douglas Cemetery, Camp Douglas, WI. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in JoDeen's name to Edgewood High School, HospiceCare Inc.
