Madison -- Tim Harpold, age 64 passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at HospiceCare.  He was born on December 19, 1945 in Richland Center, the son of Russell and Kathryn Harpold.  Tim served in the Army with the 4th Armored Division from 1968 through 1970 and upon discharge, worked for Greyhound Bus, Inc. for 9 years.  He was then hired by Herman Meier, founder of Badger Coach Company and worked for Badger Coaches for 31 years.  Tim was known for his strong work ethic, his honesty and love of family.  He enjoyed reading, World War history, NHRA drag racing and model car fabrication.  Tim, son Todd and nephew Pete rebuilt a 1979 Zepher Car, ""Prince of Darkness"" and entered it in the 1992 World of Wheels Car Show, winning 2nd place in the People's Choice Award.  Tim is survived by his wife, Jane; sister, Mary Schwarz of Prairie du Sac; brothers, Mike (Elaine) of Ketchicon, Alaska and Pat (Marilyn) of Addison, IL,; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son Todd; sister, Anne; niece, Jackie; and nephew, John.  A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOIC CHURCH, 401S. Owen Dr. with Father Brian Wilk officiating.  A visitation will be held  prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 3:00 PM at St. Philip Catholic Cemetery in rural Soldiers Grove.  The family would especially like to thank Dean Oncology Clinic, HospiceCare Inc., Badger Coaches and the ""Meier Boys"" and boyhood friend Bob Goad.  Memorials may be gifted to HospiceCare, Inc. 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711 or the charity of one's choice.
