Stoughton- John M. Kelch, age 62, died on February 28, 2010 as a result of an ATV accident. He was born in Stoughton on December 23, 1947, the son of Kenneth and Arlee (Furseth) Kelch. John graduated from LaFollette High School in Madison in 1966 and then joined the Air National Guard. After being honorably discharged he began his life as an electrician.  John was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, local union #159, for most of his adult life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors, frequently traveling to Canada, Minnesota and Lake Michigan for fishing trips. John lived his life to the fullest every day. He is survived by his daughter, Shellie ( Troy) Teubert; grandchildren, Colton and Jaidyn Teubert; special friend, Lee Syverud; numerous friends; and his Union brothers, all who cared for him tremendously. John will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family are invited to an informal memorial gathering from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Per his request, no services will be held. John requested that those who care about him remember to celebrate his life, just as he tried to do.
