John Patrick Maloney

John Patrick Maloney, age 57, passed on November 10, 2010.   He was born in Michigan on February 13, 1953, raised in Chicago suburbs & his family moved to Stoughton, WI, in his junior year of high school. In Stoughton, he met his wife and made life-long friends.   He moved to Maui in 1991 and was employed by Warren S. Unemori Engineering, Inc., as a project manager overseeing Kalaupapa wharf, airport, and infrastructure improvements. He truly considered it his ""job-of-a-lifetime,"" both personally and professionally. John was currently employed by Pacific Rim Land, Inc., as its Development Manager. John had a passion for his work, treasured the friendships and camaraderie of his co-workers, and found tremendous satisfaction in the many friendships he had on Maui.   John loved the ocean, picnics at the beach, his cats, watching football with friends, war movies and Fox News. John was preceded in death by his father, Charles Maloney. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; mother, Martha Maloney; sisters, Jeannie (Bob) Mueller, Susan (Owen) Kugel; and brothers Tim Maloney, Tom (Kathie) Maloney, and Michael (Karla) Maloney. A Celebration of Life memorial was held on November 28, 2010 in Maui.   Local memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington, Stoughton, with the Rev. Richard Halom and Monsignor Gerard Healy officiating.   The family will greet friends at Church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Contributions in John's name may be made to the Maui YMCA, your local food bank or charity of your choice.
