John Richard Panke

Sun Prairie -- John Richard Panke, age 42, passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at UW Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on March 16, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Richard and Diane (Grosser) Panke. John grew up in the Sun Prairie area. He was an honors graduate from UW Stout. John worked as a manager at the Flattop Grill at the Hilldale Mall. He enjoyed sports, reading and spending time outdoors. John's main focus in life was his love and passion for the Lord.

John is survived by his parents, Richard and Diane Panke; his sisters, Cindy (Greg) DeGonda and Kelly Panke; Kelly's son, Owen Panke; aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at LIVING WATER CHURCH, 3075 Prospect Drive, Sun Prairie, on Friday, September 11, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Gerdts officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, September 11, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
