John Rasmussen

John S. "Gus" Rasmussen passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at age 55. Gus was born in Madison on October 12, 1956 the son of the late Arthur and Joan (Mohr) Rasmussen. He was a long-time resident of Madison having attended West High School, UW-Madison and MATC. John also lived and worked in the Green Bay area for approximately 20 years until returning to Madison in 2002. He was a member of the local Northern Wisconsin Regional Council of Carpenters. Gus was an avid packer fan and enjoyed photography and wood working. Most of all he loved his family and many friends.

Gus is survived by his sister Linda Rasmussen of Madison; several cousins; and many special friends including David Hornung and Earnest Allen.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5 until 7 pm and on Tuesday one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
