John Skelton

John Skelton, 87, passed away peacefully at home on August 31, 2011 surrounded by family. John was a WWII US Navy Veteran. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, boating, tennis, Wisconsin sports, and jazz piano. He will also be remembered for his years of sponsoring and coaching boy's baseball teams. He survived by his loving wife, Kathleen, his son, James (Connie) Skelton, and daughters; Kathleen, Susan, Clare, and 4 grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, Sept. 3rd at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, WI 53717, with Msgr. Donald Heiar presiding. Visitation will be held from 9am until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, or HospiceCare Inc. The family extends their appreciation to the staff of HospiceCare, and Dr Mark Davis.
