Joseph Bernard Haag, age 67 of Waunakee, Died on Friday Jan. 9, 2009 at a Madison Hospital. He was born on July 16, 1941 in Lodi to Joseph and Louisa (Esser) Haag. He graduated from Lodi High School in 1959. Following High School he owned and operated Haag Feed Mill in Dane, WI. In 1970 he began working for Oscar Mayer and retired in 2001. He also worked as a crossing guard for the Waunakee School district. Joe married the former Nancy Skarda in l961 and she preceded him in death in l972. In l974 he married the former Dona Heimbecker. Joe was a member of St John's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed many activities including; hunting, fishing, bowling, softball, farming, and cutting wood. His favorite pastimes were going to Ho-chunk Casino, and spending time with his kids and grand kids. He also loved to travel and had been to every state in the United States. Survivors include his seven children Monica (Mark), Doug (Lisa) Julie (Jeff) Heisig, Dean (Karen), Alicia (Joelle Kane) Raisbeck, Jodi (Bob) Krause and Travis (Stephanie) Sixteen grandchildren Austin, Kendra, Quintin, Natasha, Jordan, Nicholas, Rebekah, Joseph, Alexandria, Jasmine, Lydia, Kiefer, Tyler, Kayln, Kayse and Brett. Two brothers and six sisters Linus, Evangeline (Gilbert) Kalscheuer, Bob (Betty), Donna (Herb) Werla, Venida Barman, Jean Ripp, Louise (LaVern) Dresen and Barb (John) Dresen and his mother-in-law Virginia Skarda and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, his father-in-law, a brother Cyril and two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Funeral services will be held on Wed. Jan 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM at St John's Catholic Church Waunakee, Rev Patrick Wendler will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home on Tues Jan 13, 2009 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Friends may also call at the Church on Wed from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Burial will take place in St Michaels Cemetery in Dane. The family would like to thank the staff at both St Mary's Hospital and Sauk Prairie Hospital for the care of their Dad.                                                        Â
