Josephine Harris

MADISON - Josephine L. Harris, age 92, passed away peacefully at Oak Park Place in Madison on Monday March 14, 2016. She was born September 30, 1923 in Berlin, the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Fralish) Lehman.
She married Philip Harris on Nov. 23, 1946. Josephine was a member for many years of Blessed Sacrament Church. Josephine worked for the State of Wisconsin as a secretary for the UW Hospital for a while, and after having their first child, she became a full time mother. Then in the 1960's when the children got older, she restated her career as a secretary for the State.
Josephine is survived by her 2 daughters, Elizabeth Winter of Arkansas, and Jean Clark of Marshall, WI; she is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Joanne Harris, son Edward Harris, and 4 siblings.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Sat. March 19, 2016 at RESURRECTION CATHOLIC CEMETERY CHAPEL, 2750 Regent St. Madison, with Br. Ed Van Merrienboer presiding. A visitation will be from 9:30 AM until the service at the cemetery chapel on Saturday.
